We have a unique opportunity for an experienced appellate attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience in handling automobile insurance claims and 2+ years handling appeals of automobile insurance claims. Extensive knowledge of No-fault insurance and insurance coverage is required. The successful candidate will handle appeals as assigned by claims and/or the legal team. The successful candidate may also counsel and assist underwriting, SIU, and other departments in the company as needed. Experience handling BI, UM, and auto physical damage coverage matters is also preferred. The role has the possibility for a leadership position in the legal department as work of this nature grows and more associates are needed. The scope of this role may expand as the operation develops and our growth continues in the market.

This position is responsible for the handling of litigation bodily injury auto claims including uninsured and underinsured motorist claims for the states of Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Supervising PIP Defense Attorney

Staff Counsel for CURE Auto Insurance has openings resulting from our launch and expansion into the Michigan market. We are looking for an experienced supervising PIP defense attorney with 10+ years of civil litigation experience in handling these types of claims. This experience should include taking and defending depositions, negotiation proficiency, and experience successfully trying cases. Additional leadership potential opportunities expected with continued expansion of the firm. Staff Counsel will be responsible for handling PIP files from inception through trial and appeal, if necessary. A supervising PIP attorney will also be responsible for supervising 10+ attorneys within the PIP department in the law firm. The Supervising Attorney will oversee the onboarding of staff attorneys and provide ongoing coaching to ensure consistent adherence to the firm's policies and procedures. All candidates must possess excellent academic credentials, outstanding written and oral advocacy skills and strong software/technological skills, including competency in Word, Outlook and Westlaw. Ideal candidates will be well organized, detail-oriented and able to independently manage a caseload where work is time sensitive.
