Legal Intern

The Legal Internship will provide valuable experience in the insurance industry, with exposure to a wide range of legal issues including compliance, claims management, and corporate governance. 

Essential Job Functions: 

? Research and draft legal documents on corporate matters such as case law, and strategy development 

? Edit and review documentation, including but not limited to contracts, policies, and legal memoranda 

? Support the legal team in preparing for meetings, including regulatory filings and legal briefs 

Participate in various projects and administrative tasks as needed 

? Perform other duties as assigned 

Experience/Qualifications: 

? Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor program at an accredited law school 

? Prior experience as a legal intern or law clerk preferred 

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

? Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat 

Physical Actions/Environment: Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting, and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process, and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions. 

Starting salary: $20-$25/hourly

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM
