We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Law Clerk to join our legal team. The Law Clerk will work closely with attorneys to support legal research, draft documents, and prepare case materials. This role is ideal for an individual pursuing or recently graduated from law school who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct legal research using online databases, statutes, case law, and legal publications
- Draft and review legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, pleadings, and contracts
- Assist in preparing case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
- Summarize depositions, transcripts, and other legal documents
- Analyze case law and provide written reports on findings
- Attend hearings, trials, or depositions as needed to take notes and assist counsel
- Organize and maintain legal files and documentation
- Perform administrative tasks to support attorneys, such as scheduling, filing, and correspondence
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Previous law clerk, paralegal, or legal internship experience preferred
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an accredited law school (J.D. candidate preferred)
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Familiarity with legal databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Physical Actions/Environment: Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions.
Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time; Mondays – Fridays, 8:30am-5pm
Location: Detroit, MI or Princeton, NJ
